Get Involved

Together we can reduce violent crime and be active members of stronger, caring, more resilient communities.

Donate

Every £1 we receive in donations is a vital contribution for those we work with.

Our aim is to support and encourage children and young people to express themselves while gaining self-esteem, self-respect and confidence in a positive way. It is also to support families who have been victims of crime.

Your kind and generous donation – no matter how large or small – is greatly appreciated and valued.

What your money buys

  • Your £5 donation buys well-being leaflets and resources for 10 children and young people.
  • Your £20 donation buys an art therapy kit (including online resources) for adults and children who have been bereaved or affected by violent crime.
  • Your £100 donation buys a family-sized art therapy and craft box (including online
resources) for families who have been bereaved or affected by violent crime.
  • Your £200 donation pays for a much-needed respite away day for families who have been bereaved or affected by violent crime.
  • Your £250 donation pays a school presentation that reaches between 20 and 600 children about the risks and consequences of violent crime.

Our young adults need your support and investment.

We are currently seeking to develop closer links with businesses, so that we can offer a wider range of support and opportunities to the children, young adults and families we work with.

Opportunities for corporate sponsorship include:

  • Sponsorship of events and campaigns to raise vital funds and awareness of the impact of violent crime.
  • Skills-based volunteering. The Josh Hanson Trust welcomes the guidance, support and skills of companies to fulfil our remit.
  • In-kind donations, such as the equipment and materials we need to deliver our creative workshops and school presentations.

In return, we can offer you: increased visibility and awareness and an opportunity to connect
with wider audiences.

Volunteer

As a small organisation, the Josh Hanson Trust, is reliant upon volunteers to fulfil our work.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and to gain new or apply existing skills.
So whether you’re looking to share your experiences, try something new or have a passion you wish to fulfil, we’re here to help.

We have a range of volunteer opportunities. These include:

  • Delivering presentations in schools and colleges to help promote the prevention of violent crime.
  • Sharing your story as an expert-by-experience about the impact of violent crime.
  • Supporting fundraisers to maximise the potential of their events.
  • Providing day-to-day admin support to the team.
  • Creating engaging and informative social media content.
  • Writing bids to help us access vital grants and funding to continue our vital work.
