We are delighted to have secured a new venue for our monthly art workshop at The Breaking Bread Trust (TBBT) in Harrow. At the end of the funding stream from MOPAC in June, we were worried, like so many other charities who relied on this funding, that we would not have been able to continue with our service. However, we have worked hard to ensure that we can deliver this much-needed and well-attended service and have continued to welcome our clients to our new base at TBBT in Harrow. The team are welcoming and accommodating, and with support from volunteers, and members of the community, we continue to thrive.
We know that it is not always easy or even an option for people to talk about their trauma or bereavement, and neither is it easy to share that you have been a victim of crime. We understand that silence can be effective and important to express yourself. Our art therapy workshop allows you to do just that, to express yourself in a safe space which you have control over amongst people who feel the very same as you and where you are not judged. If you would like to understand what trauma is, how it can affect you and what trauma recovery looks like while using creative arts such as painting and drawing at your own pace, then our workshop is for you.
Our guided art tutorials are gentle and inviting, there is no pressure placed on you other than just being yourself. We provide refreshments and lunch along with a free art kit so if you think you would like to take a step towards recovery and would like more information please get in touch as we would love to hear from you.
