Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
Have you or someone you know been affected by a violent crime? And if like me you or that person you sometimes find it hard to verbally express yourself. Well for me creative art has helped me to let go of trauma in a safe space which I have control over. It is also like a form of meditation as it allows you to shut everything out while getting lost in what you are creating.
Our Art Workshop supports victims and survivors of crime and on the day I will share our Trauma Recovery presentation with you supported by information you can take away. This will then followed by our art tutorial. You will receive a free art kit and links to art tutorials and be invited to take part in our art exhibition which will be held at the end of the year, and where you can also sell your own artwork.
As a sneak peak I am delighted to share with you our next art tutorial, pantings of Dandelion’s which we have called ’Breathe’. The wonderful @jaynolanlatchfordart has spoilt us with this specially commissioned piece and we can’t wait to get started, how stunning is it?
Did you know the Dandelion symbolises health, perseverance, endurance and determination to name a few of the many qualities victims and survivors have in abundance.
Finally I promise you that you don’t have to know how to draw or paint, just check out the testimonials from our last workshop. This guided art tutorial will bring out your hidden creative flare as we all have one.
If you would like to join us please get in touch I would love to hear from you #trauma #traumarecovery #art #arttherapy #healing #expressyourself #youarenotalone
