Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
As Christmas is drawing closer, for some of us this is not a time of celebration but a time of great pain and sadness without our loved ones, with this in mind we are inviting you to come and join us in safe space where we can be together, sharing memories of our loved ones while creating a keepsake in their memory.
If you would like to come along to our Creative Art and Therapy Workshop this Sunday please could you let me know as I need to make sure that we have the right amount of materials for you. We will be designing a deep filled picture frame where you can paint, draw or include something that you would like to bring with you that can be put inside the frame. This could be anything from a chewing gum wrapper, a train ticket, earphones or a favourite CD that belonged to your loved one, anything that is a personal memory to you.
We are delighted to tell you that we will have an Art Therapist an Art Teacher and two graffiti artists who will be on hand to help you with designs, advice and support. We will be able to talk openly and share our memories without feeling that we are being a burden and we will be able to be there for one another too. If it is just a cup of tea a mince pie and a chat that you need then you are more than welcome too. Please bring a photo of your loved one if you would like them displayed on our memorial table with our candle of hope.
We would love to hear from you if you would like to volunteer on the day and if any local artists who would like to come along and talk about art and the therapeutic benefits that it has we would love to hear from you too.
Please inbox me asap if you or someone you know who is bereaved by murder, manslaughter or has been affected by knife crime, would like to come and join us.
Thank you to the Scared Heart Church for hosting our workshop and for your generous donation of Mince Pies we are truly thankful ?.
Best wishes always
