Thank you to everyone who donated to my birthday fundraiser last month, the final figure received was £1951.18 which is fantastic, I am still blown away by your generosity and moved as always by your outpouring of love and support. Some of the money that you raised will go towards our workshop this Saturday where we have purchased 60 fresh wreaths along with a selection of Christmas decorations to go on them. We have also been able to pay two Counsellors who will be on hand throughout the day to offer 1-1 peer support. With support services thin on the ground for those in need it really is so reassuring to know that help is at hand if needed at this really challenging time of the year.
At this time of the year when most people are rushing around and enjoying the lead up to Christmas some of us are dreading it and feeling even more isolated. We also know that it is hard to share our feelings and emotions with others who are excited because we don’t want to be a burden to them. So with this in mind we are inviting you to come along and join us this Saturday from 12.00pm – 5.00pm at our Festive Wreath Making Workshop. We will have a selection of mince pies and refreshments courtesy of My Yard and a safe space courtesy of our host Fr Terry at The Scared Heart Church in Kilburn.
If anyone is having difficulty with transport or any other concerns please message me, we will make arrangements to see that you get there and back safely. Please bring a photo of your loved one if you would like it to be placed on our memorial table.
