Hello everyone,
We would like to invite you to join us in our Cycle For Josh Fundraiser. While looking for inspiration for a fundraising opportunity I always think about things that will bring people together. What better way than a bike ride for everyone to take part in, while taking in beautiful views you will also be setting yourself a healthy challenge.
I was blown away when I came across ‘The Hanson Way’ I smiled and said to Josh, ok then a bike ride it is. Josh loved his bikes and was known for cycling ??♀️ so it is a fitting tribute to his memory and a great opportunity for us all to Cycle For Josh.
Route Description
The route south from Oxford to Abingdon takes you through minor roads and uses a permissive path by the River Thames before joining the traffic free path parallel with the railway line. After Radley, the route enters Thrupp Lane where care must be taken during the week as HGVs use this otherwise rural lane. At the end of Thrupp Lane, traffic free paths take you across parkland to the heart of the attractive town of Abingdon. The route there and back is approximately 16 miles but with plenty of stops along the way it will be a relaxed pace.
Please see the map of the route below for more information. If you would like to get involved and would like a sponsorship form please get in touch everyone is welcome.
If you and your friends and colleagues would like to join our fundraisers please contact Brooke or I or alternativley email us we would love to hear from you.
