On today the 5th of July, in memory of Josh’s 5th Memorial Fundraiser we challenge you to #COMPLETETHECIRCUITFORJOSH
Hello everyone I hope that you are all well. Usually around this time of the year we are planning our annual Memorial Football Tournament and Community Fun Day in memory of Josh. This year would have been our 5th memorial fundraiser which is hard to believe and even harder to put into words. And this year it is with great sadness that we have had to cancel all plans for our event due to the Coronavirus. Our priority as always is your safety and wellbeing, and while we will miss hosting our annual memorial event and our celebration of Josh’s life with all of you, we are still hoping that you will help us to raise much needed funds.
During these uncertain times over the last several months, and as challenging as it has been for all of us especially those who have lost a loved one, we have seen so many amazing fundraisers take place especially those involving fitness. As you all know Josh loved going to the gym everyday and really focusing on his mental health and physical well being. In his memory over the past 5 years we have organised events with health and fitness in mind, Tough Mudder, 5k Fun Runs, our annual memorial football tournament event a tandem skydiving event and our Cycle for Josh.
With this in mind we want to keep the theme of fitness going while bringing some much needed light in these hard times that we are all facing. So are you ready to complete the challenge to help raise funds for the Josh Hanson Trust in the loving memory of Josh? With the help of our amazing volunteer May who has taken part and helped warm us up with her workout routines we have put a short cross-fit workout together for you to take part in. Notice that we have included a football as a prop to include the football theme, maybe you could too?
So following the video sequence repeat each one 5 times, remembering to stretch and warm up before starting:
10 Star Jumps X 5 sets
10 Squats X 5 sets
10 Push Ups (rest knees on floor and cross ankle option too) X5 sets
10 Lunges X 5 sets
10 Step Ups X 5 sets
The way you help fundraise is by donating £5.00 when you take part. It would be great if you could share a short time lapse video of yourself and maybe even with your family members too. Once you have completed the circuit you pass- it-on and nominate 5 friends or contacts to do the same by sharing the post, link and hashtag #COMPLETETHECIRCUITFORJOSH
