On Saturday 11 October 2025, it was 10th anniversary of Josh Hanson’s death. On this day in 2015, Josh Hanson was killed in an unprovoked knife attack.
Over the last ten years, the trust has expanded and evolved. Today it is a proud campaigner, raising awareness of the impact of serious violent crime and for the vital need for improved professional victim care.

To commemorate the tragic and premature loss of 21-year-old Josh, The Josh Hanson Trust is intensifying its campaign for better victim care, including the call for Josh’s Law and the publication of The Josh Hanson Trust Manifesto.
